Cryptocurrency is a big market on eBay, but did you know that Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency merchandising is an even bigger market, not only on eBay but also Amazon.
So what types of merchandising are we talking about?
Well, lets put it this way if there is a big market there are always things that you can sell to that market so lets start with some of the more frivolous stuff.
Fancy a pair of Bitcoin cuff links, maybe a Bitcoin medallion or a key ring then get along to eBay and Amazon and grab some of them, they are usually priced relatively cheaply but with great margins.
What about a Bitcoin T-Shirt, well what colour do you want? What design do you want on the front of it, and the reason that I am asking these questions are that there is just so much choice. Bitcoin T-Shirts are really big on Amazon and they sell at great prices.
Some of the less frivolous offering are Bitcoin hard wallets, paper wallets plus Bitcoin mining equipment, power supplies, rigs etc.
So it’s a big big market, so if you are a bit careful about wanting to put money directly into cryptocurrency then you can still ride the Bitcoin wave by offering a whole range of merchandise targeted to these buyers.
So ok what are the logistics, well firstly you need to find a supplier, so the first port of call are the online wholesalers, these can easily be found using a simple web search for Bitcoin merchandise wholesalers.
To dip your toe in the water start with the frivolous stuff, the medals, physical replica coins , etc.
Not every wholesaler will stock this sort of mechanise, so it may be necessary to import the merchandise. Places to start with are Global Sources, Ali Express plus there are plenty of other wholesalers in China and the Far East that can supply all your demand.
Don’t be put off with the idea of importing from China, it is really far simpler than it used to be, just take a few precautions.
Check out the suppliers rating on the wholesale website, these may well be dozens of suppliers offering similar merchandising.
Buy in small quantities, you may not make much (if anything) from your first batch, what you are doing is testing the market to see if the item sells, you really don’t want boxes of products cluttering up the house if cannot sell them.
Make sure that you can pay by credit card or even PayPal.
Never, repeat never pay by wire transfer, if something does go wrong then you have no recourse whatsoever. Please read that sentence again loudly.
Be aware of your shipping costs and also if any tax such as import tax or VAT is payable on the delivery of the good.
You can always order larger quantities of your best selling goods later with of course the economies of scale that comes with it.
T-Shirts a big market but don’t be tempted to have a few hindered printed in the vain hope that these will sell, use one of the online T-Shirt companies to fulfil the orders. With these you can design the shirt online and work out a selling price, you can also have them dispatch the item for you. A real hands off approach.
But do remember there is always an element of risk in any venture.
